Pine Springs Traveling Day Camps

If you are looking for a great way to spend your summer days, consider coming to one of Pine Springs' Traveling Day Camps! Pine Springs Camp has been operating an excellent and accredited camping program since 1948 in Jennerstown, PA and we are excited to continue and expand our traveling day camp program! Your child will have an incredible outdoor experience with spiritual enrichment.

PSC Day Camp is a wonderful way to experience camp life for a week. All campers will participate in traditional PSC activities such as Bible Studies, Arts and Crafts, Nature Activities, Sports, Camp Songs and Slip-N-Slide, and will also choose an elective for the week.

Two Locations, One Great Program. We will be running the same program at both locations. All the info below (i.e. Required Forms, packing list, electives, schedule, etc.) will be the same for both locations. The only difference between the two sites will be the Dates and Location!

Norwin:

Ages: Completed K-5th Grade

Session Dates: June 19-23, 2023

Time: 9:00 a.m.- 3:00 p.m., Monday-Friday

Murrysville:

Cost: $75

                            

Ages: Completed K-5th Grade

Session Dates: July 24-28, 2023

​

Time: 9:00 a.m.- 3:00 p.m., Monday-Friday

Location: On the Campus of First Presbyterian Church of Murrysville

​

Campers will choose an elective that they will get specialized instruction time with a qualified instructor! They will spend each day exploring and learning specific skills related to their electives:

 

Electives: 

Campers will learn team sports skills and have mini-competitions throughout the week.

  • Sports and Recreation: Campers will learn various team sport skills and have various competitions throughout the week.

  • Music and Drama: Campers will learn songs of praise with melody and motion as they play colorful Kids Play*tm handbells and dynamic bucket ball drums. In addition, campers will develop humorous skits based on the Bible verses and themes for our week.

  • Arts and Crafts: Campers will have the chance to use their creative skills as they create a variety of arts and crafts projects throughout the week.

  • Science and Nature Exploration: Campers will participate in experiments and activities that demonstrate the power of science and God. It may seem like magic, but not once you understand how it works. Campers will also have an opportunity to explore and learn about God's creation exploring the woodlands!

***Once Pine Springs Camp receives the camper's registration form and deposit, a confirmation/ camper email will be sent with additional Day Camp information. If you have any questions, please contact the PSC camp office at (814) 629-9834

ADDITIONAL DAY CAMP INFORMATION:

  • Registration/ Check-In is at 9:00 am and Check-Out is at 3:00 pm each day at the church. 

  • Each camper must bring a lunch each day. A morning and afternoon snack will be provided by Pine Springs Camp for campers throughout the week. Please let Pine Springs Camp know if your child has a food allergy. We will try to accommodate your campers needs. You are always free to send snacks for your camper. 

  • Campers should bring a Bible, tennis shoes, and water bottle every day.

  • Please complete the registration form online or by mailing in the registration form. Once Pine Springs Camp receives a registration with a $25.00 non-refundable deposit, the family will be emailed a camper Confirmation Packet which will have various forms, suggestions on how to prepare for camp and give further details about schedule related items. 

  • MASK POLICY: Masking is optional but not required. Our program will be outside as much as possible where masking is not required. We will continue to monitor and assess the current climate and announce policies if we need to move programming options indoors.

  • Spaces are limited to 50 campers. When it is full campers will be put on waiting list and we will endeavor to open as many spaces as possible according to our safety standards and staff to counselor ratios.
